‎I think the whole auteur theory is bullshit. There’s not one set I’ve been on where there haven’t been ideas from everybody.

Sorry for the double post if you also follow my Pose blog, but I want to make sure I spread the word.
It is my absolute pleasure to announce that our little film has been accepted as an Official Selection in the Brooklyn Film Festival.  In what will hopefully be the first of many this season, Pose will screen in competition in the Experimental Film category.
The festival runs June 3-12 (closing night also happens to be my birthday, so I’m double excited). When they post specific showtimes next week, I’ll update the blog to let you all know.  The films this year are screening in two awesome theaters in Brooklyn: indieScreen in Williamsburg, and Brooklyn Heights Cinema (down the street from my favorite Pizza in NY and my second favorite ice cream in NY).
Tickets are pretty cheap, and I have a limited number of passes and discounted tickets, so drop me a line if you’re interested in going and I look forward to seeing you there!  There is an audience choice award in each category so if you can’t make it, please tell 100 friends to come.
Thank you again for all of your hard work, faith, and good vibes.

My big photo organization project continues! (See previous post)
The earlier estimate of 14,000 was pretty far off.  I’m currently at 21,741 images (hopefully nearing the end).  The point of this whole exercise was to get my ducks in a row in order to redo and simplify my website.  On top of that, since my focus is cinematography and the new website will almost exclusively showcase that material, I am turning this blog to a place where all my unused photographs can spill over and be shared with friends.
I’m going to try to post original work more frequently, and hopefully an ocasional shot from a cool set I’m working on.  If you want to download and keep any of the photos on your computer, you are welcome to do so, just please don’t print them out.  If you want a print of anything, please send me an email and we can work something out.
Enjoy!

I’m in the mood for something a little more lighthearted.  This will do:
thedailywhat:

Street Art of the Day: After a collaborative wall piece in the Sydney suburb of Camperdown was visited by the buff man, an anonymous tagger offered the real estate company responsible for the paint job something that might be more to their liking.

There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known
